CHAPTER 2 - IVY:
I sit on my chair in silence while the rest of the committee sketch away at their A3 paper. I watch them intently, but stop a minute later as I almost drop a stitch!
Once I finish that row of my bright yellow knitting, I put my wool and needles in my canvas bag and stare at the blank butcher paper before me. I pick up my pencil and start sketching a wheel of cheese. I pause, and think about what I’m really doing. Cheese smelling. What a dumb idea! I am going to do something about this, I’m sure of it, but what that thing is, I do not know.

When the meeting is beginning to finish, I spot the event posters lying on the table. Suddenly, I realise one way to ruin the event: I stand up discreetly and brush past them, knocking them right into the rubbish bin.
Nobody notices until the end of the meeting.
“Ivy?” Jake asks me once I have finished my poster. “Why are all the posters in the rubbish bin?”
“They’re in the bin?” I gasp dramatically.
“Indeed they are!” Jake gestures to the half-empty rubbish bin in the corner of the room.
“Oh my!” I cry. “All our hard work!” I rush over to the bin, brush the posters off and lift them back onto the table.
“Thank you,” Jake says. “You may leave now.”
I sling my canvas bag over my shoulder and saunter out of the room, muttering “Damn it!” under my breath.
