Freedom! The thought of it fueled Fhil to run ever faster, despite the low gravity. When he at last reached the door at the end of the corridor, he pulled to no avail. Then Fhil's eyes rested on a keypad. Sera caught up, panting, and carefully, she removed the top and snapped the wires. The door finally got open and they tried walking out of the space station, but it seemed like no such feat was possible. "We have scarce time," whispered Sera. "For the battle..."
Fhil's arm tried to drag the sword through the air. It seemed heavier than an overweight elephant UNTIL a transparent section in the middle of the blade began to glow green. "Glorp" said Sera instantly, then tried to cover her mouth, but Fhil had her figured out. "You ARE one of those aliens!" "ζεψωᾖͰϗᾪϼϟͳ😎, to be exact" she muttered. Then she seemed to tense. "THEY'RE COMING!!!"
In a split second, Fhil pivoted and chaos ensued. Sword against sword, bullet against glass. Fhil managed to eliminate three with his laser blaster, but then when he tried grabbing the water bottle he had earlier to drink🤯, the aliens all ran away, screaming. Water! Fhil twisted open the bottle, and sprayed it all over the aliens' direction. One tiny drop, though, hit Sera, and she gasped for air one last time.
"Tell your mother I love her," rasped Sera, and she showed her true form. Fhil could only stare, open-mouthed. Natalie. The sister he thought he had lost all those years ago. Although it was blocked by the helmet, Fhil was crying. Sometimes the past has a way of catching up with you. All those years ago, when he was foolish enough to dare his sister to jump off a wall. And now it happened again. The incomprehendability of it!
So, tears rolling, he continued to Earth.
