On the big day, people eagerly buy cakes hoping to enjoy their delicious taste. Suddenly confusion turns into disgust—everyone starts spitting them out - each cake is covered in salt!. No one brought any more cakes after that…
Dan then becomes really suspicious. Someone had to be sabotaging the event, and he was determined to find out who.
Meanwhile, Ava enters the art room, frustration bubbling inside her. In a moment of rage, she smashed one of the paintings. But then, suddenly, she felt a wave of nausea. She doubled over and threw up, realising she had eaten one of the salted cakes. Note to self: Don’t eat cakes you’ve sabotaged.
Suddenly, an alarm goes off, and she runs away quickly, leaving one of her shoes behind.
Dan arrives to check out the alarm and finds a running shoe near the artwork. He picks it up and wonders who it belongs to.
Dan calls all the committee members together to talk about what has been happening at the event.
Could be Mike? He’d been overwhelmed and overworked, and perhaps he had snapped.
Maybe Ava? She was mad no one agreed with her ideas.
What about Polly? She was upset that her animal-themed artwork didn’t get much attention. Could she have done it out of spite?
Or Lily? Perhaps she didn’t like the art other people had contributed and wanted to eliminate the competition.
And then there was Mark. He had seemed unusually anxious all week.
While this was happening, the committee were wondering why none of the food trucks had arrived, leaving people hungry. No one realised, the night before, Ava had sent a bunch of emails to the food trucks with the wrong details of the event, directing them to a local daycare instead. While she was doing this from the animal shelter computer, Mark had walked in. She quickly shut down the computer and threatened him to keep quiet…
