One calm summer morning a little boy called Jade awoke to the prettiest bird call ever. It was a new busy day at school. Jade loved school but his favourite day was ballet practice day. Plus, he was getting a new ballet teacher for the week. He hoped for a calm, sensible, kind teacher.

After school Jade walked to dance class. When he arrived he was happy to see his friends waiting for the teacher to come. No one wondered about why the teacher hadn’t come even though they were four minutes late. A minute later a puff of smoke appeared and in its place stood a man in SCUBA diving gear. A second later the man threw his hat off and shook Jade by the hand and started to call the roll. When they got half way through the roll he started to light matches and eat the fire they made. “Ah!” cried the children but the teacher stayed calm. After the teacher ran out of matches and finished the roll the class looked at the note the usual teacher set. These are the instructions- practise points, improve leaps and give Harper new dancing shoes. After the finished reading the note Jade noticed that their new teacher had also swallowed their prize trophy. “Oh!” cried Sally.
“Alas!” cried Sophia.
“Horrible!” cried Jade. Then there was a minute silence. “I’ve got it!” said Jade. “We could make him cough it up.”
“Actually, I have a better idea.” said the new teacher. “Get some tongs and attach a claw to it then put it up my bum into my guts and press the RED BUTTON and take the trophy out of me. Good idea right?”
“New teacher.” said Harper. “Could we paint the red button orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo or violet? They’re great colours.” he said.
“Of course not!” said the new teacher. “Red is my lucky colour.”

But to power the claw they had to use a boxing glove to punch their heels. “Sure!” said Jake. So they did. After they got the trophy they noticed the boxing glove had made a leak so they used Harper’s old shoes, made cement out of spit, put it in the hole with Harper’s old shoes and got out the emergency hair dryer to dry it. Then they gave Harper new shoes. Then an echidna appears and the coach yells, “Leap!!” as it moves beneath them. “Leap!” he said again as it turns around and leaves. A second later the door creaked open. The class runs to the barre and does a jete and Jade said, “We had a good time.” As the fill in teacher swings out of the window. CRASH!!! “Oh no!” muttered the class.
The end.
