CHAPTER 1
“Students with abilities still have to catch the bus home, due to our lack of numbers these days”, Madam Goldward had said. Catching the public bus home, but very loud and chattery with students from normal schools.

Charlotte Mineral was on the bus when a peculiar elderly lady approached her. “Hello there, dear” she said softly. “I haven’t seen one of you in a long time”. Charlotte’s heart leapt into her throat. Had her secret been exposed?

“Well, lad, you seem to know this direction” she rasped. Charlotte hurriedly searched around for who she was talking to. It obviously wasn’t her. The elderly lady grinned from ear to ear, revealing shockingly pure white teeth. “Oh, I- I’m sorry, this is my stop” stuttered Charlotte, hurriedly making an excuse and racing off the bus.

Charlotte was late for meeting up with her friends. “Charlotte, you’re late!” Called out Claudia, taking a shot. Charlotte quickened her pace.“Somebody’s suggested to help train us” added Amelia, taking a drink of water. “Who?” Asked Charlotte. “Her” chorused Charlotte’ friends, pointing.

There stood the elderly lady from the bus, the one who had acted strange, the one who had the smile from ear to ear, was standing there, with a smirk plastered on her face.
